Here’s a quick update on the kind of cloth diapers i use for my 1 year old baby boy. Could not cover all the variants, as some were in the laundry bag šŸ™‚ Sorry for the bad video quality, it is tough to hold the camera in one hand, and show the diapers with the other! But i guess as mothers we do a fairly good job at multitasking šŸ˜‰

Snapshots: My cloth diaper stash consists of –

  • Branded Cloth diapers – inserts, covers, prefolds. (Currently i am using Bumgenius, Bumchum and Luvable Friends)

  • Cloth Nappies and Boy briefs

I have become a total cloth diaper convert, and it feels brilliant! My wallet is happy, my baby is happy (and rash-free) and i know that my environment is happy too! Let me know if you have any queries regarding cloth diapering, and i will be happy to help!…till then happy parenting šŸ™‚

Hi..Im a new mommie and have been using traditional cloth diapers(langot) for my baby girl who is almost 4 months old. I use disposable diapers(Pampers) only at night. Ive been very inquisitive about cloth diapers and pre folds and inserts. Can you please throw some light on how often should the cloth diaper be changed…as in if I use it for my baby in the night….will it keep her dry all night or do I have to keep waking her up to change diapers.

Hey Aruna, thank you for stopping by! Its wonderful that you are using cloth nappies for your lil one. The cloth diapers usually last for about 2-3 hours depending on how heavy a wetter your baby is. At 4 months, they pee you might have to change it every 2-3 hours. But what i generally do is add two inserts in my pocket diapers, and these stay on for about 4-6 hours or even more. But my son is 12 months old now, so he pees less than what he used to as an infant! But it is a good idea to invest in cloth diapers – these will last you till two years or until your girl is potty trained. I personally like bumchum, bumgenius and luvable friends brand of cloth diapers – you can buy these online. Hope this helps! Let me know in case you have any other query.
